3 December 2007—Casey Rabon joins Baldwin Connelly as an Advisor Trainee with the Employee Benefits Group. Casey is a recent graduate of Florida Southern College with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management.

3 November 2007—Baldwin Connelly, official insurance provider of the Lowry Park Zoo, continued their support of the Zoo’s fundraising efforts by, once again, serving as the Rhino Club sponsor at Zoofari.  The funds directly benefit the 1,700 animals living at the zoo, extended services to over 1,000,000 annual visitors, as well as the zoo’s year-round environmental education programs. 2007 funds will also go towards the completion of the zoo’s new Safari Africa exhibit, which will nearly double the size of the zoo upon its completion in the spring of 2008.

17 September 2007—Maureen Love joins Baldwin Connelly as a Commercial Risk Management Advisor. Maureen has over twenty years of experience in commercial, life, health, and disability insurance.

10 September 2007—Tracy Weatherford joins Baldwin Connelly as the Employee Benefits Practice Leader of Baldwin Connelly. Tracy is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the Employee Benefits practice including new client partnerships, client service initiatives, and carrier/vendor partnerships. Tracy’s expertise includes strategic planning, compliance, alternative funding arrangements, claim analysis, and communication/wellness initiatives.

17 August 2007—Lowry Baldwin, a Baldwin Connelly founding partner, was quoted in the Tampa Bay Business Journal article “Windstorm insurance premium hikes adding expense to waterfront projects.”

Lance Crawford joins Baldwin Connelly as an Employee Benefits Advisor.  Lance brings more than 12 years of financial service experience to Baldwin Connelly.  Prior to joining the firm, Lance worked as a Senior Audit Associate, a Senior Financial Analyst and most recently as a Producing Branch Manager for a mortgage company.  He has held CPA, Real Estate, and Mortgage licenses. Lance is a veteran of the US Army, having served in Germany prior to the unification.   Lance currently serves as Vice President - Academics, for the Pinellas County Gator Club and is a life member of the UF Alumni Association, Coastal Conservation Association and the PGA Tour Partners.  He has Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Accounting from the Fisher School of Accounting at the University of Florida.

James Henson joins Baldwin Connelly as an Employee Benefits Advisor.  He was previously with New York Life as an Annuity Specialist for the AARP market. He ranked as the top Annuity Specialist in the Tampa Bay market for revenue and client satisfaction. Prior to New York Life, James served our country on active duty for ten years in the US Navy.  During his military career, James earned various honors, including Sailor of the Year and three Naval Achievement Medals during two sea tours that stretched from the east coast to the Persian Gulf.  James continues his support in the US Naval Reserves as a Naval Air crewman and is an active member in the community with the US Navy First Class Association and as a Florida Gator Booster.  James holds an Associate’s Degree from Florida Community College of Jacksonville.

Seth Johansen has joined Baldwin Connelly as an Aviation Advisor. Johansen has over twenty years of aviation experience. Prior to joining Baldwin Connelly, CW4 Johansen retired from the United States Army after serving two decades as a pilot in both the reserves and on active duty. He served in various capacities, including in “Desert Shield,” “Desert Storm,” and “Operation Noble Eagle,” throughout Korea, Saudi Arabia, and the Caribbean. In addition, he has experience in commercial real estate and the residential mortgage business. He currently serves on the Missions Committee, Sports Minister, and Extreme Kids program at his church. Seth earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The University of Florida.

Amy Mesick joins Baldwin Connelly as a Private Risk Management Advisor.  She has over a decade in serving the risk management needs of individuals with complex insurance needs in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. Prior to joining Baldwin Connelly, she worked at the largest privately owned insurance brokerage firm in Clearwater—serving as the Team Leader on the Private Client Insurance Team and at another local insurance agency within the personal insurance division.  Amy sings at her church and is involved with the Dunedin Junior Falcons little league association and cheerleading team.
